Safe Bike Battery is the North American dealer program from Zen Energy and A1 Batteries. The battery program is led by a PhD battery scientist with more than a decade in advanced lithium-ion research, and the team has been building battery packs for five years.
Every pack is built with Tier-1 Samsung and LG cells, a 30A smart BMS, and cell-level QR traceability. It is certified to UL 2271 before a single unit ships.

Which Rad models does it fit?
One battery covers the most common orphaned Rad platforms, including the battery models named in the 2026 CPSC fire warning: RP-1304, HL-RP-S1304, and RAD-S1304Y.

What is the warranty?+
36 months, triple Rad's old 12-month coverage. It covers capacity retention and is backed by the factory.
Does installing it affect my shop's insurance?+
No. The kit is plug and play with a matched cradle and adapter, so there is no splicing and nothing on the bike is modified. Every pack is backed by our 3-year factory warranty.
Which Rad models fit?+
RadRunner 1, 2, and Plus, RadRover 1 through 5, RadCity 3 and 4, and RadMini. More models are being confirmed for fall.
When can I get stock?+
